Windows updates not working, it has been searching for updates for hours (windows 7 pro)

Issue: Unable to install stand alone windows update (.msu package) on windows 7 pro.

Steps to resolve this issue:

Always install windows update in ascending order (see serial number of updates carefully)

  1. login into local administrator
  2. Change service to “manually” and Stop service of “Windows update”
  3. restart system and login to local Administrator account.
  4. Again change service to “Automatically delay” and start this service (“Windows update”).
  5. install standalone  “.msu” package and restart
  6. Enjoy 🙂

RDP crashing in windows 7

RDP crashing after login into remote server from Windows 7.

After so much search on web and RnD . I found the solution

Go to MSTSC on run and unchecked “persistent bitmap caching” .

and on MSTSC>Local Resources (Tab)>Settings>select “Do not Play” under Remote audio playback and “Do not record” under Remote audio recording (see the screenshot below)

Citrix client issue in Windows

Citrix client start giving error before starting any session.


1)      Open the Registry Editor (click on the Start Menu – Run – type in regedit.exe and hit OK).

2)      Navigate to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Citrix\ICA Client\Engine\Lockdown Profiles\All Regions.

3)      Change the DWORD value for EnableLockdown from 1 to 0.

4)      Close Registry Editor and try to launch the application again.

Copy and Paste is not working on my Remote Desktop Connection… what’s wrong?

Copy paste is not working from your local system(XP) to remote desktop ??

If you tried other trickes and no one working try this  

– One of the major reason

–> Client computer’s clipboard Book service is not running.

You can resolve this issue without disconnecting RDP or restarting client (user’s local ) system.

* TO do this you need administrative password of client computer.

* Take session of services (from your computer to user’s computer) which are running on client computer.

*trying to start Clipbook service ->> It depends on two more service Network DDE DSDM and Network DDE. Start both these services if clipbook service is not starting, after that try to start clipbook service (client computer remotely).
